THE NEW ALBUM

LIFE GOES ON...

I’ve gone through many stages in my life from precocious kid to awkward middle schooler to semi-cool high schooler to beachside frat boy to LA single to Producer to Family Man; experiencing both Success and Failure along the way. And all along the way, I have enjoyed a soulful connection to the music I’ve played. The thousands of hours I’ve spent playing my guitars are a key part of my path as a person. Decades ago, I had a short-lived fling with a recording career. However, while there were some signs of talent, neither of my albums succeeded financially nor artistically. Basically, I wasn’t good enough, yet. Now, in this next act of my life, and with years of ongoing study and practice behind me, I have made one more album, one that hits, for me, on every note.

Two of these songs appeared on my first album and have been reimagined. They like the 13 new songs, all came through, at one point or another, on their own, spontaneously, with their own reasons for existence. None were directed nor constructed. As such, they speak for themselves.

I recorded twelve of the songs at the historic 4th Street Recording Studio, in Santa Monica, California. There, I worked with the imminently talented Producer, Engineer and master musician, Sejo Navajas. Sejo’s steady hand brought this album to life sonically.

I recorded two additional songs, in June of 2025 with Jim Wirt at his studio in Santa Cruz, California. Jim produced my first album, is good friends with Sejo, and brought his own flair to the two tracks we did.

The last song on the album was recorded years ago in the studio of a tremendously talented musician named Brad Stanfield. Brad started playing professionally and touring in the late ’70’s and continues to play, to this day.

I would like to say thank you to all the musicians who joined us, as well as Scott, our studio tech! The background singing, drumming, bass, piano and lead guitar work is incredible. I play the acoustic guitar parts and sing the lead vocals.

I loved making this album and on a personal note, I want to thank Kaysie (In the Morning Light, We’re still We) who has heard each of these songs, at all stages of their creation, over and over and over and over and… well you get the picture.

And if you love the resonant sounds of my acoustic guitar ringing through, thank Kaysie, she demanded that I don’t lose them, this time around.

So, in closing, I am proud to present to you, a collection of fifteen songs… entitled…

LIFE GOES ON

PS. That is our grand son, Leo, on the cover of the album!
